File specifications for laser cutting and quote purpose. All files must be in a vector outline format. We can use files from a variety of programs (if for any reason we cannot open your file, we will let you know), including: CDR (CorelDraw), AI (Adobe Illustrator), EPS (Adobe Illustrator), PDF, DXF (AutoCAD), DWG (AutoCAD), SVG. All files should be two-dimensional and actual size (1:1 scale). You may also provide dimensions within the file or your email, so we can make sure that the file is properly sized. Lines have to be unbroken and continuous. If your file for laser cutting contains text, please convert it to outlines. It’s important, because if we do not have the font you are using, our program will substitute your font with a different one. Unfortunately, files JPG, PNG, BMP, PSD formats cannot be accepted for laser cutting or quote purpose. File specifications for laser engraving. For laser marking we can work with .jpeg files, TT fonts, and vector files (.cdr, .ai, .pdf, .dxf, or .dwg). If you are not able to provide a vector-format file of your parts for laser cutting you can provide us with a dimension-noted hand-drawn sketch (scan it and e-mail it or bring it to our office) and we will convert it into a computer file compatible with our laser equipment (charge for file preparation is based on $70 per hour rate with a $15 minimum and depends on intricacy of your design). We work out of the customer's metal. It can be shipped from your supplier directly to our company. We will return the scrap. |
